365 Film Challenge - 226

Starring: Oscar Kennedy, Freddie Highmore, Helena Bonham Carter, Ken Scott

I really liked it. I feel like I will always like British movies better; I feel like they generally carry out plots/stories better and just look better than American ones. This was kind of a biopic so I guess it was just executed really well. Oscar Kennedy and Freddie Highmore were really good (I want to watch all of Freddie’s movies). Nigel was a really interesting character and his dad was the worst. I don’t know how parents end up that way but they need to not. Then Mrs. Potter was a jerk; all she did was ruin Nigel for his dad. I liked the transitions into young Nigel’s imagination too. I like when they have one thing in focus and then everything changes (I don’t know a better way to explain it).  Oh and the opening credits were really cool. The cast’s names were all printed on the products in the mart and it was just really interesting.

Overall: 8/10
