It was slow at first. It picked up for me when the little boy got introduced. It was an interesting family dynamic, though. They were so dysfunctional, like I just cannot with how some people are. Jim took advantage of his mother, he caused his brother’s near-death; I’m not even sure what was up with the dad; Tim let Jim talk him into attempting suicide; and the mother was the typical mom who sees no wrong in her kids (who obviously need help of some sort). The little boy, Benjamin was interesting; his character was a lot older than he actually was which was cool. I actually just realized that I know the characters names which means I actually paid attention (which I didn’t think I did), so that’s good, too. I really liked Jim’s monologues at the end, the one at the basketball court and the voice over. His whole character arc was good.
